Can love be treated as an addiction? i.e. like love rehab?

Since it is (brain wise) like an addiction, then one can try to treat love like smoking, cocaine addiction, or alcoholism… where a person can be rehabilitated…

An addiction to love might be codpendency……relying on others for their self-esteem and security.

The book “Moving Beyond the 12 Steps” by Charlotte Kasl is a great book to overcome being addicted to other people, especially a lover/former lover. It has a lot to do with alcoholism but it talks about being dependent on people too.
