My boyfriend is constantly checking doors and windows — he has OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). On top of that, he also frequently experiences anxiety and insomnia. Once in a while, he even thinks somebody is trying to break in to his apartment. I’ve also noticed that he frequently claims to feel sick — like with flu and sinus problems.  When he does sleep, he sleeps forever. He’s from a wealthy family so he’s not hurting for money and doesn’t have to worry about missing work.

He uses anti-depressants and Ritalin to help him concentrate and to help him wake up. I was with some of his friends last year and found out he used cocaine once in a while with them, but of course he hid that from me. He did confess to me about it and claims to have never used it again.

I’m suspicious that he’s still using it, though, because of this weird behavior. I think he has all the signs of a cocaine user (I’ve been reading a lot about it on the web), but when I question him about it, he claims it’s his OCD. I’m confused about it all.  What should I do?

My dad is addicted to cocaine, according to my mom. She says that’s why he acts so differently from my friends’ dads. I don’t know how to deal with him anymore. He doesn’t know that I’m aware of his addiction. He always is very angry and mean, and I never know when he’s going to fly off the handle. Because of this drug, I’m almost always in trouble with him for one reason or another. Seems like I can’t do anything right in his eyes. What can I do about this? I know my mom would make him go to rehab if she thought it would help, but at this point I’m stuck.

Isn’t cocaine like the “mother drug” of crank and crack? And what is the difference between crank and crack? And are methanphetamines the same thing as speed? Or are they different? Then I heard that crank is the same thing as methanphetamines which is the same thing as speed.
